“Trash the Musician is not a self-deprecating name. “Trash” is a verb. The name is an imperative: trash the musician. It names the social ritual by which artists are built, consumed, worshipped, ridiculed, broken, and discarded by the same public that claims to love them. The persona was created and curated in 2018 as a response to the cultural machinery that turns artists into sacrificial bodies. In the lineage of crucifixion, scapegoating, celebrity destruction, and public spectacle, Trash the Musician says: bring it on. Trash me. I will take what is thrown at the artist-body and turn it into music, testimony, ritual, and performance.”
